38. If Your Tire Bursts, DON’T Hit the Brakes
Here’s a really helpful tip for when you’re driving fast on a wide road and suddenly one of your tires bursts: don’t slam on the brakes. Even though it might feel like the right thing to do, try hard not to do it.
Why? Because if you brake, your car could start swerving and you might lose control, leading to a crash. Instead, keep your foot on the gas pedal.
It might sound weird, but this actually helps you get control back and keep driving straight. Just keep steady for a few seconds, and you’ll be back on track.
