59. How to Tell if You Need to Change Your Car’s Oil
You don’t have to be a car expert to know if it’s time to change your car’s oil anymore. There’s a simple trick you can use. First, let your car run for 5 minutes, then turn it off, and open the hood to take a few drops of oil.
These drops are like a sample. Then, use a clean cloth or paper towel to wipe the dipstick with the oil on it. Let it sit for about 2 hours, then come back and check the paper. If the oil on the paper is dark in the middle, your oil is dirty. But if the edges are clean, your oil is fine. Easy, isn’t it?
